Please share your impressions.
Even Lampizator admitted that the MHZS player sounded "not bad".
I have the older version of the MHZS player (CD88F with silver buttons)and also have a more than 10-year old Cary CD-308T which was much more expensive. They are just different and I can't say which one is better...

Good to know. I hadn't really found much on the "H" version. Almost every report I found was on the older versions like yours. A lot of people have compared it to much more expensive units and found them quite comparable.
I figured it was worth the gamble.
A piece of advice: don't replace the stock tubes with their NOS equivalents (if you have them) too soon - I tried Telefunken 12AX7 (and did not like the sound at all), short plate Mullard 12AX (did not like the sound either - very pretentious, with very smooth and silky midrange (while this player benefits from punchy tubes) but with unnatural highs and exaggerated sibilants) and ended up with stock tubes (for more consistent sound). I liked vintage Brimar 12AX7 tubes, though...
Thanks for the tube rolling advice.
I guess the "H" version should be more refined.
