I'm interested in hearing more about this unit as well. Considering this to feed a Spectral amp.

"Scratch that. I just read the upcoming Merging NADAC has a volume control..."The NAD is far more flexible and of course has a volume control too.
The NAD will accept digital from:
Network (NAS) if the BluOS board is fitted
AES/EBU digital
2 RCA digital
2 optical digital
Asynchronous USB from PC
2 USB from directly attached USB slicks, hard drives, etc.On the analogue input side there's:
1 balanced
1 single ended line level
1 Phono for either MC or MMWant more - Extra MDC plug-in boards will give you HDMI in and out, extra digital inputs, etc
Outputs are:
Balanced - fixed or variable
Single ended - fixed or variable
2 Sub - can also be used as extra preamp outputs for bi-amping
Digital - RCA and opticalControl by Bluesound PC Controller or app - much more user-friendly than UPnP-based controllers.
It's also supplied with a pretty good remote control for volume, input selection, USB stick music selection (and NAS or PC to a limited extent) and any other NAD equipment
One last thing - it sounds fantastic!

Yes I appreciate the M12 is very flexible and expandable, but the network connection with Ravenna sounds extremely compelling and more in line with how I would utilize the DAC. When I considered the M12 I was thinking to interface with it through an Network Audio Adapter like HQPlayer anyway.
