I may be looking into properly upgrading my elderly Bel Canto DAC3, this looks like a nice DAC. How is it with Rock? I read you listen to that from your music genres used. Very cool.
looks like you future proofed yourself, until the next big thing comes out. Be sure to check out some DSD 128 albums. They sound fantastic.
Follow Ups:
It is very good with rock. I listen to different types of rock from the Black Crows to the Doors etc. Not too much heavy stuff. But I do have one Metalica album. The black album. I found that the DAC-2 had trouble with the speed of this album. The DAC-2 DSDse handles it with no problem.
I will check out the the DSD 128 albums. I have some 2L DSD downloads. I don't have the same recordings in FLAC and DSD to compare. But both formats sound very good.
thanks a lot for the info. Is this DAC also made in the USA? That's important to me.
I listen to a lot of heavy rock, as well as hip hop and lots of electronic music :)
I will read up on this company, I am really impressed with the specs of the DSDse.
