Might be easier to buy the CD's used and rip and then burn the chosen tracks to a writable disc?

Yes, you could buy a disc and copy it, or you could google "how to burn mp3 files to cd." I don't want to go through a detailed explanation here because the procedure depends on whether you have a PC or a Mac, and on what software you have.
Thanks,
Turns out I'm not doing mp-3 downloads but ripping and writing tracks from a CD.
What I ended up doing is buying two used CDs from AMAZON that have the two tracks I'm looking for. When I get them I'll try to rip the tracks to a Writable CD.
The reason I don't want to risk mp-3 conversion is that my CD player will play ANYTHING on a disk even if I do it wrong, while the folks in Europe might not have that capability.
The music in question is in remembrance of their recently passed daughter.
