Thought that the only one doing that was APL.
16 DACs: do you know if they are 8 per channel? IMO, pretty great sounding, with that implementation: and, (in APLs case), an elimination of a master clock. I am not aware of anyone other manufacturer doing it.
Interesting review from both you and 6 Moons. Thank you for the information.

Parallel DAC chips are not uncommon.
My Cary CDP 306/200 used 8 Burr-Brown 1704 DAC chips in the CD player DAC section, 4 parallel chips per channel.
That Cary 306/200 CDP was from around 2001/2002 time.
Cary 306/200 below my Accuphase DP-65v. I no longer own the Cary.
Beautiful pic! Abe.
still loving your Accuphase spinner.
I bought the Cary CDP back in the day when it wasn't too difficult getting nearly 40% off MSRP on Cary gear. I think those days are gone as Cary tries to 'clean up' their dealer channel.... maybe they already have. I've been out of touch with Cary equipment for some time now. ;-) Thanks.
