If I had do instant switching comparison often, I would DIY a selector with trimmers and active buffer stages.Or buy a pre-amp with a good volume chip such as a Mark Levinson pre-amp.
The difference between 2.0V and 2.1V can be easily felt.
So it is inconvenient to level match with a typical potentiometer.
These days, I do not much do instant switching for sound comparison. I rely on the feeling of music over a longer period.

2.0 to 2.1 v is +0.4 dB. For a valid comparison you would want a difference less than +0.1 dB, which would work out to be about 2.0 to 2.02 v.
