Thanks for the input, guys. Serge, not sure what you mean with the Onkyo. I would use coax to the Bel Canto dac; what other inputs might I need if I went with the Onkyo-->coax-->DAC?
Still thinking about a TEAC PD H600.

My comment on inputs was confusing and not related to your situation. What I meant is, as PCM1792 is Ti’s best spec-ed and most expensive D/A chip, it would’ve been nice of Onkyo to provide digital inputs to be used with other sources such as PC or a file player.

Those are hard to come by. People seem to hold on to them. PD H750 may be easier to find. It has lower spec-ed chip than H600, but since you’re going with an outboard DAC, it shouldn't matter.
