Good luck, - please let us know what you get and how it works out.

Ok it was set up about 40 hours ago and been running non stop,
my impressions are as follows.
On the plus side it is a well made unit and looks nice, the bottom end (bass) is excellent but at this stage it is not as musical or should I say ear friendly as the Sony, but it obviously needs to run in for a week or so before passing judgement.
On some cd’s it sound excellent, on other a little grey!!?? and not as natural.
I also need to experiment with cables. Comparing the same track with my cd player is not instantaneous, as the output is higher +_ 8 db's thus I need to turn down the volume to match the level of the Sony.
So some + and _ but it will be interesting to see how it comes out.
Not sure how long it needs to run in before passing judgement.

Just a question.....can the Nu wave DAC do DSD 64 on the fly?
The question is, is DSD noticeably better than hi-res PCM? The audiophile marketing machine will have you believe so.
No, the NuWave DAC does not do DSD at all.
Naw...I'd have to ask what's the marketing machine to do with what I'm hearing? I've listened to the PSAudio Direct Steam in a shoot out with a Lampizator Level 5, then listen to the Lampizator Level 7 all 3 in DSD...and then the Entry level Lampizator Amber DAC in HI-REZ....And finally the iFI IDSD DAC...and to my ears DSD 64 as well as 128 bettered the Hi REZ....at least to my ears.
