I have always used a Squeezebox Touch into my DAC, until this week when I have been trying out TIDAL. Since it doesn't have a SBT interface yet, I am using my PC to DAC to try it out.
My DAC is a TEAC UD-301 which has LED lights on the front panel indicating the Bit Stream of the input signal. With the SBT it always read 44.1 from my ripped CDs and since this was the lowest reading on the DAC, Spotify also read 44.1 even though it is only 320 Kbps.
Now that I am using my PC to my DAC, the 192 (Khz) light is lit for both Spotify and TIDAL and for any CD or MP3 file that I stream ??
Anyone know what's going on here?Cut-Throat

Go to manage audio devices and check what rate you have it set to if running in shared mode. Or better yet, use a player that supports one of the exclusive modes so you can go bit perfect.
