I want to find something like the Dragonfly DAC, or something similar, to work with my Android based Galaxy S3 phone. I would like to play the music stored on the phone into my main system but with better sound than what comes out of its mini jack. All files are stored wav or mp3.
Audioquest confirmed that the Dragonfly will not work on an Android operating system. Someone pointed me here but I don't have any clue about the sound quality (is it really any better than the analogue out mini jack on the phone?) - Hifime DIY Sabre DAC seems to be too inexpensive, but who knows?

Or this one on Amazon: FiiO Kunlun

With a Paridisea + DAC with USB Audio Player Pro.
Interesting - it says it will work with the Audioquest Dragonfly, while Audioquest says they do not work with Android devices. This might just be the ultimate solution for me. Thanks

Go to the Google Play store and search for USB Audio Player PRO . If you scroll down the page, there is a list of DACs that have been confirmed to work with the app, which is obviously Android based. The GS III will output audio via USB, so you don't need the app; however, the list may be of use. The app developer was rather quick to reply when I asked some questions, so there may be more DACs that he is aware of beyond that list which you might consider.
This is an app that will allow USB audio playback from Android devices. I have it on my Toshiba THRiVE and it works -- no other app on the market is able to get stored audio out of an Android device (which doesn't have native USB audio capability) via USB.
I've been using a GTab 3 with a custom ROM that will output digital, andit seems to work very well. Going to give this a try as well.
