I'd ask this question at the AVS Oppo 95 owner's site.

Thanks asked and answered with an hour.
If I want digital inputs I need the bd-105. That's cool the PC system will have 2 sources - the PC (with an affordable DAC) and the OPPO BD-95.
Give me rhythm or give me death!
I thought that might be the case. I have both a 95 and 105 and, IIRC, I bought the 105 specifically for its HDMI input. A DirecTV HD-DVR plugs into the 105 via HDMI; video from HDMI-1 goes to a projector. I use analog audio from both units, in separate setups, of course. Stereo from the 105 goes to a Parasound JC-2 preamp, surround directly to Proceed HPA amps, and SW to Velodyne SMS-1s that manage a pair of HGS-15s.
BTW, an email to oppo support will usually get a quick helpful reply. Oppo is famous for customer service.
