Hi. I finally got junk out of the way to set up my stereo.2 years ago my brother and sister gave me a Samsung Blue Ray player. I hooked it up to also be my cd player even though I have my Magnavox 565 cd player I have treated with kid gloves that was my mainstay.I got in the mail an issue of Audio Advisor today which said cheap Blue Ray players might have a poor audio section. The Samsung cost about 99 bucks at Best Buy. Which would you use as a cd player. Should I retire the Magnavox? Is the latest technology way better at the cheaper level. I did play a church organ cd from Telarc, and the Blue Ray made my sub woofer grumble pretty good. I need some advise without switching the cd players. I don't think I can tell...thanks you all...Mark Korda
Follow Ups:
I wish i still had my Magnavox CDB650 made in 1987. The early Magnavox CD players are really musical, have great PRAT, and low listener fatigue.
from Audio Advisor!
Then try feeding the various digital outputs to the DAC and see which one you like better.
;-)
If you can't tell which one sounds better, pick the one that looks better.
Ya, like picking a wife......
