I spent $120 on M-Audio desktop monitors...so...
This is for my work and music management computer..strictly to check rips and downloads and to watch youtube videos. Functionality, space saving, decent sound...nothing more needed.
Decent sound, 24 bit/192, USB/Optical (SPDIF) in, RCA out with volume control plus decent headphone amp for low impedance cans.
What's not to like?
Found it under their FAQ:
"Are the RCA connections on the rear of the D1 fixed or variable?"
Answer:
These RCA outputs are variable, adjusting the volume on the D1 will adjust the output of any speakers or amp connected to this output. This makes the D1 a handy way to control the volume of both your speakers AND headphones.
Wow, this is pretty much what I was looking for, especially in form factor.
Do you happen to know if the volume control is for the RCA outputs as well as the headphone output? I have found that many of these units only have volume control for the headphone out.
Thanks!
