I plan to buy a Marantz SA-1. my question is it reliable since it is 10 years old. I was told it has problem and may not be repairable due to parts no longer available.
thanks

You were told it 'may' not be repairable?
You need to find out what the specific problem is, find out what the parts needed would be and find out off Marantz if the parts are still avaliable.
Best Regards,
Chris redmond.
I have read a number of reports over the years of this SACD player giving problems, despite their fabulous construction; and now that parts are no longer available .... no.
Regards,
Geoff
If it was used regularly for 10 years and you can't get parts, I wouldn't do it.
