I now have a popping sound coming through the speakers when I change tracks. It is annoying, please advise.
"It is annoying, please advise."
I'd give the guys who upgraded it a ring; seems pretty obvious advice to me?
Best Regards,
Chris redmond.

FWIW, my recently upgraded CX-7e upgraded to MP. I can live with it, but really don't think it should be there. It happens 80%+ of the time.
Not sure if you use the AX-7e, but post update, adjusting the volume on my AX-7e will pause the CD player. That is more of an issue to me. I happens infrequently, but really don't think it should happen at all. I replaced batteries in the remote and found it was not due to weak batteries.

they know that there are more than of these players out there with this issue!
Ayre was unaware of the problem until I called about my player. They'd never heard this complaint before and they've done a LARGE number of upgrades.
They have some non MP players and they are going to do the original MP upgrade and test, and then the latest firmware update and test. He thinks it might be a firmware bug. Michael is supposed to call me back around weds. to let me know if they found anything.
My player goes back as soon as I finish my cableco cable demo (they ship out monday). Hopefully they've found the fix by then, if not they can have my CX7 to work with.
.
but only when you call 'em!
because of a busted IC socket, but I told them to fix the popping too.
Sounds like the muting transistors are not working. Every player that I removed the muting transistors in did this to some degree.
Might be part of the mod, or they may not be getting the power to mute the output between tracks. I am sure it is not supposed to do this after the mod.

It was upgraded to the MP status
