Question "Authority", the mainstream media sucks - Go Independent and hold BOTH parties accountable instead of just the other guys!
I need music to help forget the reality of today
A Naim CDS3 had a key command that showed the error/skip counts on a transport.
I let it run for overnight and see how many errors the transport encountered.
Studer CDP D730 and D731 have a 3 digits display that shows real time Block error rate, Track loss and Interpolation errors.

I don't recall "counting", but I do recall indication (flashing LED) on some DACs from the 1990s. I think the Encore DAC had one, as did the original Audio Synthesis DAX.
The dbx DX5 (ca 1986) also had a flashing LED error indicator.
I don't recall any with error counts.
