I was a bit surprised when I saw the Halide Design DAC HD still listed in Recommended Components in the April issue. I'd been trying to find the company's website or information on retailers for quite a while and assumed they were out of business. Google has found nothing but reviews and miscellaneous mentions of them. The web address given in all the reviews appears dead, and the last post on their Facebook page is dated 2012. Any clue what the situation is? THANKS.

I got a voice mailbox that identified the number as "Halide Design." I
left a message but have not yet received a call in return.

Thank you John. I'd be eager to hear from anyone if and when more information is available--traveling salesman or not!

.
But it's certainly a valid question as one would think a company would have to be in business to have components on Stereophile's current Recommended Components list.
