The really big main public libraries have issues of all sorts of magazines, and they save them forever.
My local main library has all the magazines I wrote out in the header going back to day one.
The most interesting are old TAS, (The Absolute Sound). Beautiful cover art. and Harry Pearson in all his glory. Enid too!
Early Stereophile is fun too.
Audio was most famous for the yearly issue with a list of ALL stereo equipment. Mainly just basic and price, but that alone is valuable when looking at used. Lets you know what years made and original retail!!
Another useful book for used is the Orion Audio Blue Book. Old issues are a gem to treasure. With original prices and then current used value.
Few places carry it, Even big libraries may not have subscribed, let alone kept them, Sadly.

Most famous perhaps. For many of us, however, it was most valuable for the informative and scrupulous technical reviews of phono cartidges, arms(!) and, especially, loudspeakers.
Now I know where you got this special ability to review speakers.
Cheers
Bill
