The internet is rife with critiques of the subjective reviews/comments in the hifi magazines today -- including Stereophile.
The funny thing is this: Stereophile, I would opine/argue, does a better job (by contemporary standards) of balancing - or at least offsetting - the right-brained with the left, when it comes to assessment of hifi components.
All of the "real" reviews contain extensive technical, quantitative assessment of the item under review. Almost as goood as "Audio" magazine of old -- better in the sense that measurement technology has improved in the past couple-three decades.
Just thought it was a good time to mention this -- and to express my appreciation for it.
