...and the writer, magazine or webzine you'd like to see do the review, if you have a preference.
Hopefully the editors will be paying attention.
Oh, and try to be nice. It's the Lord's day :-)

I'd like to see Shure V15 type V MR (no longer available because the Library of Congress bought out all of Shure's remaining stock when they stopped producing it) and Shure M97xE reviewed not for who likes what with their particular system but for accuracy in the audible passband and tracking ability compared to the megabuck MC cartridges.
...seems like someone in Stereophile (maybe Herb) mentioned trying a MM cartridge (maybe a Shure) and described it as I recall, tonally accurate but somewhat lifeless, compared to a MC.
And that was what I always disliked about the Shures I tried back in the day - they lacked the dynamic contrasts, open soundstage, precise imaging, top end air and transparency of the MCs.
Here's some material on the Shure V15 Type IV, predecessor to the Type V MR
I'd like to see more cottage industry products reviewed, there is some great unknown affordable stuff out there that never gets a look.

Mike.

I'd like to see more affordable preamps reviewed. We're told we're better off buying an integrated amp than affordable separates, but that doesn't help those of us who already own separates and only want or need to replace the preamp.
It's good to see the OC9 showing up more often, but I'd like to see coverage of the Art and AT33 lines, at least in the columns if not formal reviews.
I doubt the mainstream audio press has the courage to take on the ART line with an honest review. They are too threatening to the big money cartridges.
yes, i would.

I would like Art Dudley to build a Zaph Audio SR71 speaker and review it.
That would be an exciting read.
Cheers

....tested with Quad ESL's (57's).
I would like to see Art Dudley review a Decware Torii, or Mini Torii.

Stuff that sounds excellent, is well made, offers exceptional value for the price, and I haven't heard of before.
Sam Tellig was always really good at finding and spotlighting those kind of products, often from fairly obscure manufacturers. Little Stevie Mejias was just getting good at that, when he found a better-paying job marketing oily snakes. There's nobody really left at S'phile to review such products anymore.
Any one of the three loudspeaker models currently available from Ryan Speakers.
Check out Tone Audio Issue 72 (June 2015) for a review of the Ryan R610.
...what a great service - an audio archivist or librarian.
Cool!
"what a great service - an audio archivist or librarian."
Indeed. Over the years John Atkinson has proved to be a splendid archivist when it comes to Stereophile articles.
I was curious about the Ryan speakers and noticed a link to a review on the company's website.

I would like to see Herb Reichert review:
wharfdale denton anniversary speakers
musical paradise mp-301 mk3 deluxe
line magnetic mini 218
audio note ax-2
dennis had inspire amp
finale tube amp
But then I'd like to get back to normal and read a Line Magnetic LM-1 review.
Thanks, Craig
Steven Rochlin of Enjoythemusic.com has heard the LM-1 - He was roundly impressed.
The LM dealer in Hong Kong (there are two one covers the Silver and gold series and the other covers the classic line) does not that the LM-1 has a higher than average noise floor. I commend the reviewer who takes it home at its 290kg or whatever they are (each) for their whopping 20 watts per channel.
People seem scared off about tube adjusting my 219IA with the cross-hairs bias adjustment - the LM-1 is terrifying in comparison.
So maybe the LM-1 is not the best match for Avant Garde?
