I don't think most people hear would disagree that measurements are crucial to equipment design. The question is are measurements helpful in judging the sound of a piece that you want to buy. I don't think so

I think that both Sounstage's and Stereophile's measurements are useful albeit far from definitive. But they add enough info for me that I could alter my feelings about a speaker.

Except of course if you prefer large dipolars where JA has stated on multiple occasions that they don't fit with the assumptions made.

Sure, yet , i wont waste time reading anything from those who won't measure , worst , would imply enough ignorance to deny value in any Metric but their Opinion.....
