I disagree. I read Listener and enjoyed it a ton. Even though my tastes were often not his tastes I always got the sense that Art was open minded and would listen to logical thoughts on that started with different view points. All reproduced sound is colored. We choose our own combinations and compromises to make us feel we're getting close to the real thing. I think Art clearly understands this I miss Listener.

I'm more in favor of trying to fix the problem (the colorations) rather than "tuning" them to taste. But lacking perfection trying to minimize the annoyance of the residuals certainly has merit...

That's the goal but not the reality. And different approaches have validity in an imperfect world. Art seems to have his approach but I've always felt he respected others.
