He doesn't have to move from Paradise to that hell hole city I hope!
Mr. Shindo indeed. After hearing them at Pitchperfect that is a decided plus in my book. Love my Fremer but much prefer Art's gear choices.
Congratulations to Mr. Dudley.

I'm a toob man so Shindo is ok with me, but I would never pay those prices. I refuse to subsided low volume and exclusivity.
Other than, agree, congrats, and as you said, hopefully no commute to the Rotten Apple.
Sprezza, I can get your exclusive and low volume take but it was LA after all where you can see every luxury automobile on the planet in a traffic jam. Conspicuous consumption indeed.
Have to say that the Shindo stuff sounded fantastic. Matt also has line magnetic for those with less heavy wallets. (like me).
As for gear I love vinyl, horns, and tubes and am all in. Own Stats and enjoy them immensely but Led Zep II NEEDS Horns to shine. I sold some old classic JBL's in the 70's in about 3 microseconds.
I could not even afford tubes until the 90's. I understand the attitude as my old JBL studio masters cost me 500 a pair in 72 and I believe the current replacement is 10,000 so they definitely lost me. Bought an Esoteric for digital and love it but get that a oppo, sony, or other maker would make one think of diminishing returns.
In any event love that Art has a pre and amp that do not even get advertised in Phile and a pair of good old rocking Horns that could be on the set of Mad Men. Love it.
Wondering about the move also as going from upstate to the city feels like leaving the Shire and entering Mordor.
Peace out.
To your one particular point..Dudley is not the only reviewer who owns reference gear made by manufacturers who do not advertise..although it is possible that Tone Imports has. I am curious about Line Magnetic as a brand btw.
Funny thought just came to me..contrast that with TAS, whose "tier one" reviewers (LOL) have their reference gear SUPPLIED by advertisers.
I hear you about the peaceful sanctuary of upstate..I need to get up more often..but on the flipside, it can make you feel a bit out of touch..I would guess that his new position might require a bit of traveling, but I could be wrong.
