I left a comment on the Stereophile post that mentions the Gibson active monitors, but there has not yet been a reply. So I thought I'd post here as well about what appear to be incorrect prices for the Gibson powered monitors.
The Stereophile post lists prices as "GSLP 4" ($1198/pair), GSLP 6" ($1598/pair), and equally poetically-titled GSLP 8" ($1998/pair)" (http://www.stereophile.com/content/unraveling-mysteries-westin-ohares-floor-5)
But the Gibson page lists the prices as $599, $799 and $999. Quite the disparity! (http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Pro-Audio/2015.aspx). Were the show speakers the same ones shown on this Gibson page?
The Stereophile coverage also mentioned the speaker being bright, but fails to note that the speakers have both bass and treble adjustments.
Follow Ups:
What will Gibson's next cash-grab cynical product be, running shoes, refrigerators? Fender car radios in Volkswagen cars, whats next? Les paul would vomit on himself is he saw those.
Thank you very much for that clarification!!
Looking at the Gibson page it doesn't state if the price is per speaker or per pair. Stereophile is priced per pair. My assumption is that the Gibson page is pricing per speaker as the Stereophile reported price is double the Gibson price.

According to Gibson's PR person, the prices on the Gibson site are _each_,
meaning that the prices per per pair in our Axpona coverage are correct.
