Even orders are cancelled in both tetrode and triode push/pull amps. You would have to be able to switch to single ended triode to have a significant change like the sudden appearance of even order harmonics. Why you probably don't notice a drastic distortion type change.

Whether or not the even-order harmonics will be reduced depends on how
close the push and pull halves of the circuitry match. When they are
identical, the waveform asymmetry that is associated with the even orders
is eliminated.
