Unfair and short-sighted. I don't give a damn about MC music, but I think it is good to have another point of view. KR is very knowleagble and experienced, and a good writer.
I don't a crap about Vinyl or restoring old gear, but I would not ask Sphile to can Fremer or Dudley.

I am with you on one thing; the topic or specialty does not have to be your own to find good information or to enjoy reading it. I enjoyed Mr. Fremer's writing for almost ten years while I was convinced (wrongly as it turnes out) that I would never own another turntable. Mike Fremer also reviews a lot of very expensive speakers and other gear. Art Dudley reviews gear too, not just "restoring vintage crap". What else does Mr. Rubinson add?
But who are you to determine Mr. Rubinson's value to ALL Stereophile Readers.
If Fremer never wrote another Analog Corner I would never know the difference. I see turntables at audio shows, that's it. I could not care less.
But I know it would make a difference to others. For me, ZERO value, but I like that the topic is covered. Think bigger.
