JA,
I'm sure you have thought about this. Can you say why you have rejected this idea?

Other than some cables and miscellaneous accessories, _every_ product included
in Stereophile's "Recommended Components" is there because it has been
reviewed in the magazine. Now if you are saying that the only products that should be included should
be those that have been subject to a full review, including measurements,
then by definition you are condemning all listening-only reviews, not
just in Stereophile but in _all_ publications/websites. Why then do you feel
that Stereophile's recommendations should be held to a more demanding
standard than those everywhere else (other than Soundstage and HiFi News)?

John - After having read about the V-DACII in a prior RC (please see link below) I have begrudgingly changed my mind (altered my thinking?) on this matter. I know you have been on the edge of your seat waiting for this proclamation.
In again reading Sam's "review," he says the V90 is superior to the V-DACII - which was previously in Class B. This would mean the V90 is a candidate for Class A or, heaven forbid, A+.
As I have previously posted, I look forward to your assessment. I hope it is A or even A+. For $299 and possible tinkering with the Wall Wart, this could be fun.
