HowdyI'm not trying to talk you into any particular cord, what ever sounds best to you or if they sound similar, which ever is cheaper for you is fine by me.
But listening for a while does have some benefits. You get used to a particular presentation and then sometimes the changes are more obvious when you change. Also sometimes short listen sessions don't expose some of a cable's faults, for example short listening sessions won't reveal that a particular cable (along with your system) may be a little fatiguing when a longer session might.
