Silver-plated copper sounds edgy IMO. Take a look at Cabledyne cables that employ pure silver OCC wire. I own a few of their cables and sonics and build quality are excellent for the price.

TRUFI,
Once question, do you feel there's any importance in selecting said silver ICs, which are graded for purity of say between 3N - 8N?, as well as OCC or UP-OCC-A grade as opposed to just everyday standard AG graded wire?, or am I putting to much into this?.
As I'd once again rather do this one final time, I'm open-minded enough to take into account all variable factors.
Please advise.....
Ohno processed wire comes in 6 and 7 nines purity (7 is way more expensive). UP (ultra-pure) OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) wire is a trademark. Only three companies make this raw wire; Neotech, Wan Lung, and Furukawa under license. The idea is to make wire that has fewer crystal boundaries. IMO, not enough audible difference between 6 and 7 nines wire but OCC wire sounds much better than 4N commercial and OFC wire.

Here's the full story behind the new Oyaide 102 SSC conductor that has replaced the discontinued Furukawa PCOCC-A conductor.
See link:
To my knowledge Wan Lung and Neotech is the same. Or to be more speciific; Neotech is a registered trademark of Wan Lung. Neotech is the marketing/distribution branch of Wan Lung.
We use UPOCC silver made by Wan Lung in our products, but the order is handled by Neotech. (However, for some reason the invoice comes from BAYLOR DISTRIBUTOR INC., La Mesa, CA, U.S.A. Probably to facilitate payment transactions.)
I made my power cords using Neotech with top of the line Furutech plugs....the best p/c's I've heard.
.
Once again........, I thank you for your willingness to share. As with the whole CA thing, this has proven to be very educational.
...just so happens my 2 favorite cables are Clear Day and Wireworld. You have to hear them in your own system to decide for yourself....they are very similar. The difference I hear is an "ease"with Wireworld that is extraordinary...but that's on MY system.

Hi SgreenP,
Truth be told........, I had narrowed it down to three, which includes the Cabledyne Vanguard along with these two. And while I do understand the said differences between Silver Plated Copper versus Pure Silver, there's a part of me that's quite taken with the WW USB cables and power cords I do own, so in that sense if nothing else I'll borrow a pair of said Silvef Ecplise 7 ICs from the Cable Company next week, as I must add I'm a true proponent of mostly anything which consist of some form of OCC | UP-OCC-A conductors.
So it shouldn't hear to sample these alongside one another........., as a Clear Day Cable IC should be arriving around the same time, so I'm looking forward to finding out my own " truth " on said differences as well.
Can highly recommend the Clear Day.Probably should audition the speaker cable at the same time. The IC is slightly "soft" in the top-end,but retains its' musicality.Very solid performer everywhere else. The SC is slightly" dark" up-top.Maybe the Berylium copper connectors.
On the used IC market, check out the entry High Fidelity CT-1.These cables tend to give a good slice of everything-very balanced in SQ.
As an alternative to the Clear Day SC,you might contact Keith at kallenscath@gmail.com.He has sourced a military surplus wire that is stunning. It is a stranded copper cable that is silver-plated.Very neutral and extended without sounding so.He was offering auditions.Get it w/o the extra jacketing. The cable is white colored and should be shot-gunned,similar to the Clear Day DBL-SG.Have him mark directionality.Run toward speaker on"+" and toward amp on the "-" return.
Around $400 for 8' pair of shotguns.
Happy hunting.

Good morning Tidycat1,
I'd like to thank you for chiming in as well, as it appears that many of you've in fact reassured me of the fact that said Clear Day Audio ICs have to be heard in home ( while my pair is due in a couple of weeks ) having owned Paul's wonderful LS Cables in the past, but regretfully sold them, as I didn't think they'd work with the solid state Integrated's I had at the time, yet worked wonderfully with my two tube Integrated's.
As far as the High-Fidelity line goes........, I've yet to see any of them which I'd call reasonably priced, so tend to only watch cables within my means, yet would like to thank you along with the others for making said recommendations on my behalf.
Yet, might I ask if this Keith guy has a site or link that you'd provide?, as I'd love to check his wares out, if you don't mind sharing that is?, if nothing else you can merely send it to me via PM, any and all options are welcomed, provided they're within my budget under said $1.000 price range.
Thanks again.....
Hi TRUFI,
As per our discussion earlier on in the year, I did pick up one of the Cabledyne Reference USB cables and absolutely love it, yet have gotten a report from a friends whom ears I trust whom borrowed a pair of their ICs, yet stated he wasn't very taken with them.
But in some sense I've come to realize that many while hearing in similar ways, at times listen for different things, as I tend to gauge how any given component moves me emotionally, whereas I'm listening more into the notes themselves as opposed to every little attribute like a components top end, or bass weight and so on, and while these things are important in how a system is able to reproduce the balancing act of ones system as heard in their own space, there are again times where what I crave, another does not.
With that being said........., the Cabledyne Vanguard ICs, are definitely still something I'd like to sample in my own mind.
Thanks again for the lead months ago, as I haven't forgotten this brand, and likely never shall.
Its all about synergy and personal impressions. I recently compared the Cabledyne Reference to the Vanguard interconnects and the RCA Vanguards are clearly better (smoother and better stage). Low mass Furutech RCAs are used instead of the silver Xhadow plugs used in the Reference. Also the wire and geometry is different. Ed Bowman (Cabledyne) said it was time to upgrade the Reference line after 4 years and it appears that the Vanguard is a success. When I get the bucks I may opt for their Virtuoso signature cables.
Thanks again.
I'm more then willing to give them a try before making my final decision before years end, as I've narrowed it down to three brands and shall invest accordingly........., as I once again, don't wish to go through this in less then another 4-7 years down the road, as I'm not the sort whom changes things in my system just because and tend to do things long term.
In the end, this urge too shall pass.
Sounds like you have everything worked out...
It doesn't take long to get a feel for ones options, as it merely comes down to what one wishes to spend?, and since my budget is $800 max, it then becomes a matter of looking into what reputable cable companies offer?, as I'm beyond the DIY types of cable makers, and actually would prefer something more polished in the end.
Thanks again for chiming in.
Be well PingPing.
