Has anyone here compared the CT magnetic adaptors vs the Bybee adaptors? If so which do you think is the better device. They are the same price
Also if you think neither is worth the money that would also be helpful

fugetaboutit....
Have you heard them or do you just don't think they could do anything?

I own HFC cables, but I have not heard their adapters. I did own Bybee adapters years ago, but couldn't really compare them with HFC, as there were many years in between.
Just to confuse matters more, Tara Labs just joined the adapter market with their Muse Interface.
how much?
Alan
See link for more info
Price $795
And for what is actually in them as far as parts.. they are insanely expensive. You are paying for the name, fer' sure. (like "Shakti sticks" near a thou for a couple of sticks glued up. Ten bucks to make your own, Around $800 to buy them. Shakti sticks to me are the poster child of overpriced toys audiophiles are PT Barnum'ed into buying..Though the "Teleportation Tweak" take the cake for being the most over the top.)
If you like the explanations of how and why they work, and they sound good to you, and you have the money to burn.. Why not?
The magnetic type has a discussion/review in Stereophile this year.. And the reviewer was not pleased.
Something to do with transformers etc..
Anyway, for myself I go with mid priced ($300) cables, and find them to be wonderful.
I am a firm follower of the "10% Rule" which is only about 10% of the total system cost should be invested in wires. IC and AC cords.
And aside from owning two big power conditioners.. All MY wiring does manage to stay within the 10% of my total system cost.
In my understanding, if you are spending more than 10%, the money (theoretically) would be better spend on actual electronics upgrading.
So Bybee stuff (IMO, just IMO) totally kills the budget. And then you are adding another gizmo between you and the signal... But to each their own.
And finally, I knew a local guy who thought he could get rich making his own version of an inline cable phase fixer... He tried to sue me just for writing a post saying I heard them and was not impressed. LOL. I think I am permanently banned from his shop...
