First of all thanks to Chris VH for setting me straight on the FI-25/28/50 plugs. I probably got this crossed up and certainly don't want to offer incorrect info.
Duster the FI-11CU male/FI-28G IEC hits the nail on the head. After living with the FI-11CU/FI-11AG IEC terminated flavor 4 for about 4 years or so the addition of the FI-28G IEC offers better detail but in a more relaxed manner, just a more natural presentation as compared to the FI-11CU/FI-11AG combo which now sounds "tipped up". The FI-28G male/FI-28G IEC combo IMHO while an improvement over the original cable, sounds "smaller" somewhat. The addition of the FI-11CU male just adds body without bloating anything, just makes for a bigger sound. Thanks for the input.

The Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plug is worthy of being considered a nominally reference-quality AC plug, since its sonic signature is dead-neutral, with excellent clarity, perhaps sometimes too lean sounding depending on particular IEC connectors that are matched with the copper FI-11M(Cu) AC plug.
The silver plated FI-11(Ag) IEC connector can sound a bit "hi-fi-ish" with minimal tonal bloom, and make the copper FI-11M(Cu) AC plug sound a bit uninvolving vs. various AC connectors with special metal plating methods and materials. Gold plated Furutech AC connectors tend to provide more musical-sounding tonal bloom which is very compatible with the Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plug.
Be careful to mate the Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plug with an Audio Grade AC outlet that provides a desirable sonic signature. The FI-11M(Cu) is compatible with any AC outlet I've tried with it. Since the sonic signature is dead-neutral, the sonic signature of the IEC connector and AC outlet closely associated with it tend to impart a more definitive sonic signature of their own. It all boils down to customized system tuning efforts, based on subjective aesthetics.
