Note: The cover must be made from a high grade SS, stainless steel. Lower grade SS covers contain ferrous materials in them. When buying a SS receptacle cover plate take along a strong magnet to check for ferrous materials. If the SS plate sticks or is attracted to the magnet that's bad. It can kill the SQ of audio equipment.
Check the AA archives. Duster posted a great thread on the subject of the SS duplex receptacle cover plate several years ago.
