For use with the 9 AWG VH Audio Flavor 4, the least expensive AC connector combination I would recommend for a critical listening application is the Furutech FI-11M-N1(G) gold AC plug and Furutech FI-11-N1(G) gold IEC connector.

The Furutech description says it accepts up to 12 gauge. But the flavor four premade cable description with a net 9 gauge says it uses it.
Also they are on closeout at Sonicraft for $35 they are on sale for 40 at VH. The $70 Neotech is as good as the FI-11 IMO rated to take 10 gauge comes in choices of back end pieces to accept 12.8mm diameter wire for $30 or 14mm for 35.

The termination slot is oval shaped. The termination screw for the termination clamp is located in the middle of the oval shaped slot, which allows two 12 AWG conductors of the 9 AWG Flavor 4 power cable to be inserted into each slot. One 12 AWG conductor inserted on each side of the termination screw = 9 AWG.
Thank you Duster for clarifying this. I was going to ask specifically about this plug, since Chris VH states that the Flavor 4 is tricky to terminate. Perhaps he is talking about a different aspect of the termination process that goes beyond the aggregate thickness of the wires...who knows?
It can be a bit tricky to insert two 12 AWG conductors at the same time into the termination slot without individual wire strands getting caught and frayed on the edges. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward if your are patient and careful.
Good info, thanks!
With so many strands of bundled wire tightened within the termination clamps, I recommend an initial tightening of the termination screws, then give it a rest for a minute, then tighten the screws again. Do this a few times until the screws can no longer be tightened, but don't go nuts trying to torque them too much, since damage can be done to the connector (and your hand for that matter).
Duster, I am curious why you are recommending Gold connectors on both ends. I have read a number of your posts recommending the FI-11 Copper AC plug and Silver IEC plug. Is there something about the Flavor 4 that changes your recommended terminations?
For what it's worth, I have several power cords with the FI-11 Copper AC and Silver IEC plugs and I am very pleased with them. But I haven't tried as many other connectors as you.
The Cu and Ag models don't provide the synergy I prefer via the gold plated Furutech AC connectors for the Flavor 4. The warmth and tonal bloom of the gold plated models better complements the large aggregate gauge Flavor 4 power cable, to my ear. YMMV
