Hi Folks:
Interested in any thoughts from guys who have first hand experience with upper tier current WireWorld cables. Signal or power.
Positive, Negative, or Nuetral comments welcome.
Follow Ups:
I've used the Ultra Violent 7 USB ,The Starlight 7 USB, The Eclipse 7 RCA's, and now the Silver Eclipse 7 RCA's which I just love. I think they are all great and get better as you go up the line. Some one said they are not tone controls and that's absolutely true. These cables are the real deal. I am now waiting on a pair of the Silver Eclipse Phono cables! I can't wait till they get here.

So are I agree. I have Starlight 7 UBS cables now and their power cords through out the system. Absolutely a step up.
Getting a bunch of the analog cables soon for audition as well...some Platinum, but mostly the Gold and Silver. The Platinum level is more than I want to spend right now.
Keep me posted -Isaak.
Received the Wireworld Silver Eclipse 7 Phono cable today. Off the bat they where closed in, but I could tell they had nice resolution that would only get better with run in. Cymbals where also rolled off. After about 4 hours of playing time, they started to open up. I love the natural sound of these cables. Also...lots of micro detail comes shinning through. Great cables...i'm sure they aren't full run in yet.
Thanks! for sharing- slippers
after 200 hours, you will notice the 1st substantial change in all aspects. Then, the 400 hour mark will present another much improved
benchmark. Keep us posted and Happy listening!
Yesterday I added 2 more WW Electra 7s. I decided for fastest break-in to put them on the subs. While not revelatory, there was definitely more air for the music to breath and extend
This morning I swapped them with the 2 @ $600 Tekline PCs taken from the preamp and amp. Now all 3 components closest to the source have WW E7s
Using milk flavor designations: with the Teklines (which have been in my system for 3+ years) it was like non fat milk BY COMPARSION.
Replacing one with a WW Electra 7, the sound became more like 2%, and with 4 E7s, its like grass-fed unpasteurized milk- rich in flavor, and good for the body
These are ridiculous bargains. I would hope any retailer would give you a money back guarantee, definitely try them
Hi-
what gear is in your system?
Oppo 105 using balanced outs
Parasound P5 using bass circuit to blend powered subs
Emerald Physics EP100.2 SE with upgraded fuse (HUGE)
Anthony Gallo Classico IIs
SVS Ultra Subs
WireWorld Mini eclipse 7 speaker Cable
PS Audio Premier Power PlantEverything rests on Machina Dynamica Springs(HUGE)
Since taking the rack picture, I moved the PP to the bottom of the rack
Maggies no longer in the room. It would be most interesting to hear them now. Alas, one bass panel literally smoked

I really like the Audio gear Rack!
Beautiful pics!
Very nice system indeed.
Thanks! for your continued sharing- HiOnFi
I am even more amazed as unplugging a digital player and amp apparently requires more time to stabilize then I imagined.
Last night I listened to Patricia Barber's Companion. None of my systems could handle the extreme dynamics, especially in the upper frequencies. Far from being a problem last night, tt soared endlessly and at quite a loud volume, one that I could not approach when the cables were reversed!
Last night ended with Sinatra Live at the Sands. I have listened to this on many system iterations in my home. Last night was the best it has ever sounded
Wow. I am a believer in what power cords can contribute. But I am not sure I have had such a transformative experience...!
Welcome! to the "club" Isaak. I have been saying for many, many years that, cabling does make a difference. This is very similar to "what a difference a day makes". Happy Listening!
Funny I come across this today, as I am going to post the following....
Last night I decided to swap PCs between my WW Electra 7 power cord between my Emerald Physics 100.2SE amp to my Oppo 105D, thinking being closer to the source I would gain some sonic benefits.
Some, did I say SOME?
Holy crap. This tiny tweak has brought me much closer to the recording venue
Hey HiOnFi:Interesting! Appreciate you posting your findings.
I am going to take home loaners of the Silver Electra 7 and Electra 7 PCs for my servers, DACs, pre and power amps.
I am a little bit leery of their labeling.."Power Conditioning Cords"...I think Shunyata claims conditioning directly in the cord as well.
Edits: 04/27/16
I hear you. That conditioning comment raised my eye brow, too. As long as you can try before buying...
When I had it on the amp I went straight to the wall. Currently (npi), it is plugged into my PS Audio Premier Power Plant. It sounds amazing, but will experiment later plugging it direct to my 20amp dedicated line
I chalk it up to creative marketing..but if the cables perform at a high level, I can look past it.
What I like about WW is there are no gimmicks, no add ons, no attached boxes, magic wire, or any voodoo. Just a proprietary geometry and a specific design intent.
OP-
I liked the Electra 7 power cord(PC) in a few auditions.
I use the Silver Starlight 5.2 HDMI which is excellent and only bested by the Platinum model.
Thank you. I was able to borrow the the two top USB cables in the line. I am very, very impressed. They are superior to 5 or 6 other top shelf USB cables I have in the house. If the analog and power cables are this good...
My pleasure- Isaak.
the Platinum model will always be tops in WW catalog. All will depend on your system's needs and budget. Happy Listening!
Do a search. As long as you properly burn in these products (we use an audiodharma Cable Cooker), the PE series challenges the car-priced cables (see my reviews of Nordost Odin), but at a fraction of the price.
The PE does a good job minimizing distortion and inaccuracies. If you are looking for cables which let the recording and equipment speak for themselves, you should try the PE. Stereotypical Audiophiles who want cables to be a glorified tone control should look elsewhere.
-Lummy The Loch Monster
Thanks. Cables should not be used as tone controls, for sure.
Not a big fan of the WireWorld.Originally had the Starlight 5 silver HDMI cable. It got replaced by and handily outclassed by a $35 model from another company.Auditioned the 2nd from the top IC.Sounded cheap by comparison to others. At first blush, wasn't bad. But,after I listened for a while-Radio Shack was my impression.
For value,Clear Day and used High Fidelity would top my list.Speaker cables are a toss up.Either the Clear Day or contact Keith > > kallenscath@gmail.com for some excellent surplus military wire.
Power cords:High Fidelity ct-1,Shunyata CX and Omega Mikro PPCs.
Good Luck on your cabling quest.

I had a balanced pair of silver eclipse 5. something, but they didn't work well in my system. At first I was impressed, due to the detail they had. Eventually I began to realize that the bass was lightweight, making the FR sound tilted up. Also, the soundstage was extremely wide but very shallow.
Ultimately, they were not for me.
As always, YMMV.
Jack
Thanks, that is what I like to hear, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I really believe cables are system dependent and reviews are only so helpful as reviewers usually have a mish mash of gear to use it with, mostly on loan.
Gold Starlight 5 AES/EBU (not too good, very rolled off), Gold Starlight 7 AES/EBU (really excellent, best I've used), Platinum Starlight 7 USB (very good, but not the best I've found for the $), Gold Starlight 7 coax (very good, also best I've used).
For the $, the lowly Starlight 7 coax is really pretty good, for a fraction of the others $.
No opinion on the analog cables, but I'm sure the series 6 and 7 are excellent, but pricey, as you know. I'd certainly want to try them before laying down the long $.
Thanks. What I like as a shopper, is the line is not too deep, and you can jump in at basically any price point, then "upgrade" if you really need to.
I had their top of the line balanced (XLR) interconnect in my system....I thought they were great ....better than most. The most salient aspect was their sense of ease....nothing could destroy the huge soundstage, dynamics...etc. I didn't buy them because my current interconnects (although they don't have that sense of ease) sounded very, very similar, and I already own them.
Appreciate the comments. I noticed their connectors, especially the XLR's were very well made. I also noted the WireWorld claims directionality.
XLR connectors are inherently directional...the female plug on one end and the male plug on the other must mate properly.
Oh yes, sorry, I was referring to the speaker and RCA cables. Apologies.
Isaak.....I thought you were referring to interconnects. If you are looking for speaker cables there's nothing better in my system than Clear Day cables. Should you want to experiment, call Paul at Clear Day, and I'm pretty sure, he'll send you his cables free of charge to hear if it works with your system. I understand he makes interconnects too, but never heard them. Take advantage of the offer...you won't be disappointed
Sorry for the confusion, actually I was shopping for a complete set of cables, nuts to bolts, power cords to IC's..all good.
Thanks for the tip on Clear Day. I am not brand obsessed and open to all.
The Law of the Jungle...
I've used a couple of incarnations of their silver eclipse series over the past years, both as interconnects and as power cables.
I've found them to be consistently neutral and detailed with excellent dynamics and large soundstaging, front to back and side to side.
You may want to borrow a pair from the Cable Company before you invest big bucks. I've bought from them for years, am not associated with them in any way, and have found them to be knowledgeable and easy to do business with.
Thank you Sigmund.
I have pretty good rapport with a local dealer and I will be able to take home a loom of Plat Eclipse 7 and equivalent to wire up the system with.
I was impressed with several systems I have heard recent wired up with the stuff. The design principles make sense to me, and the products are top class in build.
I am def. looking for "neutral"..I am not a believer in using cables as tone controls.
Sounds good, Isaac. I'd be surprised if you're not happy. Please post to the group how it works out. Or, don't. :)
