For the set-screw termination method DC plug, I recommend only to use stranded wire conductors with the DC plug. If using solid core wire, the solder termination method DC plug would be a more advisable option.

yep, sound idea... yet i used solid Jupiter wire in my Ramm XLR screws with no problem...
i'm planning to use this Elecaudio jack as well, not so expensive as the Oyaide
and look great... i'll post results
With a little finesse, the Ramm XLR termination slot can secure solid core wire with a set-screw, while the particular clamping mechanism of the set-screw termination DC plug provides poor grip on solid core wire, IME.
so you mean you actually tried the set-screw DC plug?
then let us please know how it sounds, as compared with other jacks...
Yes, I use the particular set-screw type DC plug for a DC power supply umbilical, and find its performance to be more than satisfactory, with no desire to upgrade the connector at this time.
OK; i'll try that jack myself and will see... BTW, what PSU are you using at this time?
The DC plug is used with a 5VDC/2.5A linear PSU for a digital optical active splitter/repeater.
