don't ask me to provide links to such knowledge.
I once tried DIY "nude" solid core silver 26awg & 30awg interconnects with 47 Labs OTA RCA's.
The sound was spectacular in my setup @ the time, but the dread of "something going way wrong" ended up being too stressful, so I ditched them.

Well DeKay if I were you I wouldn't give up on your spectacular silver IC's. I made mine, cu, with popsicle sticks with holes in them to keep the wires somewhat parallel. Mine are coated so I don't have to worry about shorts but I think parallel is the way to go. Also you can coat the bare silver wire with some kind of polyurethane varnish. Between the two you should be able to sleep at night and enjoy the spectacular, clear, smooth presentation that silver can and or does present. Going backwards ain't easy. Tweaker
I used cotton ribbon "swings" to hold/direct the cables. This said, the cables were located within a closed closet located outside the listening room, so sound waves & damping the wire were not a major issue.
Also ran "nude" wire through large 1/2 inch lab tubing (same/similar sound), but the lab tubing proved difficult to position/hold.
