Years ago there was an interconnect cable that converted analog electrical signal to light for traveling between components. At the other end, the signal was converted from light back to electrical. Does anyone remember name of the company that made these? Did the light stay analog or was it converted to digital?
Thanks

No problem with optic.
Don't forget that Hollywood used an analogue optical soundtrack for decades.
Too much is never enough
No need to use the past tense, the company and the cables are still there. It was and is Harmonic Technology. The original cables were called Cyberlight but apparently have since been redesigned and renamed Photon.
The signal remains in analogue form throughout.

Thank you. A friend is looking at a Kickstarter project about cables claiming to be the first to transmit signal by light, without digitization. I remembered these cables, but wasn't sure if they stayed analog.
Thank you again
