While we are polling, what's the best truly inexpensive cable?I have one of these C2G VELOCITY cables and for 25 feet I think it is really good. Note that I think it MUST be blue because I've had good luck with blue cables, terrible luck with white cables and across the board luck with black cables!
$27 for 25 Feet is a bargain to me. I am looking at getting some shorter lengths, though.

Belden, Blue Jeans Cable, and others make nice cable for background music. If you want something for serious listening, you need something else. Think Anti-Cables, or Morrow....but cables with an audiophile in mind.
I always chuckle at a totally unknown cable getting praised. I confess I have done so myself. But I assume not many will take my word for it...
(though if fifty folks, at different times in different ways, some of whom I trust say so, then maybe..)
But usually it is one person claiming XYZ is fantastic.. etc.((and yes I am pointing toward: 'deluded', of merely mildly confused.))
For myself, I tend to believe it very unlikely a private person is going to make a fantastic cable. Some startup with $1000 worth of wire a bunch of IC ends, and a soldering iron making up his (her) fantasy IC and like magic it is a giant killer? NO F*in way IMO.
The big players, with millions in the game, are working hard to make good products. They have guys who spend their lives designing cables..
So, IMO they ARE the only game in town for a chance to actually make a better than average cable.
(Not that they always will make great cables, just they have a far far better chance to actually succeed.
FYI:
In the past, say 1983 or so, I did make some IC with Mark Levinson wire. $2 a foot, Radio Shack gold RCA. I used that sort of IC for years and years, replacing the so-so ends with Vampire brand ones back in the 2000's I used them with some Kimber IC.. Up until I tried Cardas Parsec a few years ago. wow.
I would say prior to the latest ear in my setup ($5K a pop retail now, vs $1 to $2K prior) I probably could not have heard the difference...
.
10AWG magnet wire dyed blue with food coloring. I can't find the dielectric constant of blue food coloring so you would have to take your chances.
I like their power cords and was curious. Bought a l-meter pair to try and was sufficiently impressed to order two more. $69 from Audio Advisor.
I have their ac-9 and ac-14 power cords in my secondary system. The AC-9 cords sound great on my GE Triton 2 speakers, but terrible on my Parasound Halo Integrated. The ac-14 are great for source components.

And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky...."
Amadi Maddie Signature

Cerious Nano Signature : I wish I could consider $1200 interconnects "inexpensive" !!
Well Beautox, Don't think KFC sells $1200 IC's so I'm with you on this one. I fry up my own. Tweaker
Do not be fooled by list prices, these can regularly be had for under $200.
To me, that is inexpensive.
Inexpensive is a relative term.
Belden 8402 very good!!
If you are happy with the $27 cables, stop your search. Cables do make a difference and you can spend a small fortune pursuing that last little bit of detail and dynamics. If that door is opened,it is difficult to close.
Blue Jean Cable LC-1 is pretty good....bang-for-yer-buck!
I second the Blue Jeans Cable. Thanks a lot for all who recommended it to me awhile back.
If we're talking "blue" in color, I have two blue IC's that have been excellent for the money.( though not as cheap as the mentioned cable)
Tara Prism 22 and CRL Blue Note. I believe my old AQ Type 4 speaker cable was dark blue as well, and it was a decent cable. So you may be on to something.
