I am interested in hearing from inmates who may know these cables very well regarding what I could expect from them connecting B&W Matrix 801 Series II speakers with an Audio Research VT-100 Mk III power amp. In both instances, the speakers are bi-wired with 10' lengths of cable. The Kimbers are blue and black. All connectors bananas.
Many thanks,
George

I wouldn't advise opting for the original blue and black version for a critical listening application, since as you may know it has been superseded by a pigment-free version with a better dielectric characteristic.
Yes, Duster, thanks. I actually have a pair of the white/clear 8 TCs that I use on other speakers, but they are not a bi-wire pair. If I ever see a bi-wire pair of the newer 8 TCs in a ten-foot length with all bananas, I'm going to try them out if I can find a reasonably priced, used pair.
Cheers,
George
I highly recommend trying two runs of 8TC for use as an external bi-wire speaker cable rather than a single run internal bi-wire speaker cable.
Get AQ Rocket 88, if you can, much better than both of those. Even without the battery packs on them. I had a pair of just the plain cables from Music Direct that was really nice.
