Hey Tidy!
I have used very, very expensive $10K Stealth Audio Sakra ICs in my audio system, which consists of:
1) Mastersound Reference 845, integrated, SET amp.
2) Gold Note Stibbert CDP/Transport.
3) Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC.
4) Sachiko double-back-loaded horns with a Dayton PS220-8 fullrange driver that has a proprietary, 7-step, cone treatment applied and Fostex T900a super-tweeters crossed in at 8Khz.
Needless to say, this system is very revealing and differences in ICs, speaker wires and power cords are easily heard. After trying a myriad of ICs I still found those Stealth Sakras ICs to be amazing, but how many people can afford $10K ICs? Sadly I had to sell mine because of mounting medical bills.
These days I have only 3 pairs of ICs that I use in my system:
-- Rullit Audio "Late Gothic" ICs that were supposedly expensive.
-- $500 silver ICs custom-made by a local fellow
-- $200 Grover Huffman SRC II ICs (I believe this model is discontinued)
If I were you I'd seriously consider trying one of Grover's ICs! Grover offers a 60 day, in-home audition of all his wires! In fact, as long as the wires are in undamaged re-sellable condition. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item for a full refund up to 60 days from when you received the product! You are only responsible for the original shipping cost of the item. So how can you lose? And you might be as impressed as I was with Grover's wires. I personally believe they are the best inexpensive wires that don't sound like inexpensive wires!

Thanks! for sharing- Tom.
it is truly amazing (to me) the incredible cables/power cords that are in the marketplace these days. My hope is to audition all of them!
You're welcome and those Grovers are absolutely amazing for the money and for a lot more than you'll pay for them!

I have some of Grover Huffman's recent IC's and they are very good. There are better but it will cost you. For the money I could use all of Grovers wires in my main system and be happy
Alan
That's very true Alan. IMHO it would cost a lot more money just to get a bit better than those Grover Huffman wires.

Many do suggest Grover cables/cords -Alan.
Once you've heard the Grovers you understand just how much more $$$$$ you'll have to spend just to get noticeably better than Grover Huffman's wires...
