I have abit of a problem here, and am wondering if anyone can advixeI am driving esl57's heavily modded (well, actually using 63'3 until the 57's come back.Drien by a NAD amp. I emailed a guy who makes excellent silver cables, but he reckons 6m (thats 18-20 feet) is too long and recomnends 10gaw copper, (which is cheaper..). I have a heap of CAT5 so am wondering if that is up to the job too
Follow Ups:
I believe the larger 10 gauge is the most important factor, using a large enough gauge as to not lose any signal or build up impedance.
I would use the rec given by the perticular cable manufacturer I was going to use.
I used a 25' pair of Monoprice.com premium XLRs when I first put my latest system together. It is extremely affordable and transparent enough to adjust system parameters around.Eventually upgraded that run,but still think very kindly of their cables.
