Setting up new system. Will be connecting Quicksilver V4 monoblocks with KT 150 tubes (about 120 watts) to Vandersteen 5A's. I'd like to setup back to back with the amps directly behind speaker's solid amp/connector plate. Amp-Speaker Connector plate height will be level. Speaker cable length would be about 1 foot. Will use bi-wire as recommended.
I will setup to minimize vibration impact on amps. It is a small room that will be treated for near field listening.
I would enjoy any thoughts on this setup and absolutely love any help in sourcing a manufacturer that would deal in this short of a cable, or recommedations on DIY options. I have always used Audioquest cables with Vandersteens if that helps.
Follow Ups:
I would opt for a more practical 1m or 3 foot speaker cable, or perhaps 0.5m being the shortest length advisable, IMHO.
BTW, rather than a single internal bi-wire cable per loudspeaker, you should consider using an external bi-wire cable configuration, meaning two runs of cables per loudspeaker; one run for the high posts, and the other run for the low posts.
I would investigate the Furutech wire (bulk).Either 14 or 16 gauge. It is stranded and its' sound is articulate.Should work fine.Parts-connection and CableCompany both carry it.PC is located outside US> > credit card exchange charge.
