All cables sound different on different systems. When Purist was in my system, they sounded warm...gorgeous free mids, reduced and a bit "tizzy" highs, lows were fat.

SgreenP,
Which model did you use in your system?
Do you think the combination Cu/Ag/Au would be a good combo?
Silver tends to add more top-end detail, but the gold tends to move the soundstage/detail back.
Thx,Tom

I think they were called Anniversary cables....or some such thing.
I put the PAD Aqueous into my system.
I realize these are not cheaply priced cables, but the pedigree is impressive.
They have a very good presence without being forward or harsh.Low-level detailing is impressive, especially on bells (w/muted decay when damped)and drummers playing cymbals.I believe the recording with a choir has picked up a few members and can actually understand that different performers are singing a different piece(the bass was singing a do-wap during the chorus singing the reprise.
Very natural with a wonderful tonal palette. The decay on brass instruments sounds like brass. From horns to saxophone-very authentic.
Soundstage has more dimensionality and is wider and deeper. After a little more break-in,the ambience should be fully fleshed out and I think that I am in store for a real treat.
I wanted to post my reactions, due to the fact that it is hard to find reviews on the latest PAD cables (not being the 25th anniversary).
I will post further observations as things progress.

I look forward to your impressions- TomCat.
My PADs are on their way.The second arrival will include a long run of Venustas and another Aqueos Lumenist cable. This will allow a complete PAD IC cabling from stem to stern. Will report my findings.
Please be aware that I use a military surplus wire shot-gunned for speaker cable. It is a 18ga silver-plated copper stranded affair. It was sold on AudioGon for a short period as Nuclear-Valhalla.I believe the gentlemans' name was Elliot,@parrotcare.com

I have to say that I am suitably impressed. Each addition has brought a more complete audio picture to the table. The recent cable additions have actually expanded my soundstage. Each performer has a complete body, not just a sound coming out of mid-air.The drummer playing his cymbals is more clearly delineated along with his kit.The cymbals hang and you can hear the wave-fronts.This gives a very realistic reproduction and sounds more like what I hear from a "live" drummer.Bass is a little better, but just as tuneful and detailed. The ARC choir has grown in mass-more bodies, each delineated and maintaining their own space.I heard some "do-whapping going on in the lower frequency singers. Now there are three basses doing their own rhythm beat.
All-in-all ,an all -around improvement without needing to thicken up the harmonic structure. It would be as if the performers were balloons and they were filled up instead of collapsed. Each performer is more real, dimensional and the dynamic contrasts are greater-thus communicating more of the musicians musical intent and conveyance.
I am wondering about the PAD speaker cable and digital.Wondering whether these will further refine and solidify the aural happenings upon the stage.
Has anyone been able to compare PAD and BIS(maestro) IC cables??
As things progress,I will post more of my observations.
THX,Tom

I've finally brought in the last pair of analog cables from Purist Audio Design-a 1.5 meter Venustas. These will eventually be used on my phono to line application.I will also be experimenting with them as the AES-EBU connections in my digital set-up.I will set it up in four different confugurations.Currently switching between the Clear Day S/PDIF/Monoprice AES and dual Monoprice AES (actually a XLR cable). The Venustas will be inserted into each combination with the final one being PAD balanced through out.
Will report back.

I can't say enough positive things about the Purist cables.Upon putting the analog cables in place to operate as digital, purly organic.Wonderful tonal saturation. This giving male and female voices that spooky feeling of someone being "there".this has also fleshed out a great deal of ambience information that was hinted at,but not completely realized.
The dynamic scaling has also improved, along with the integration of the sat/sub transition. It is now more seamless.
I dislike over use of the word synergy, but that is exactly what is occurring and I love it.
Count me as a covert.I used to sell Omega Mikro.

I did want to update this thread.
Ordered some Venustas for the phono.Got the Kiseki installed and...subdued and a little soft.Am auditioning several cables to attempt to bring the cartridge into to synergy with the system. The digital had never sounded better, but the analog is a different beast
Have in house:High Fidelity CT-1s,Wireworld Gold Eclipse and an Audience 24e.The CT-1s are doing some nice things and I believe that if I had to quit there that I could be happy. The other two will be inserted later this weekend.I am still keeping my eye out for a Nordost Valhalla V! 1 meter,as I was told that might be the ideal.
After the phono cable is decided upon,I may swap the Aqueous to Venustas ,which will put the richer sounding cables from the pre out.Use the Aqueous on the digital and see what keeping the sources a little leaner, and richer on the other half of the system

Tom cat-
Much Thanks! for the update. System synergy is truly remarkable isn't it ?
Good to read that you have found it, now go play some good music.
