Recent reconfiguration of a second system allowed me to choose a shorter-length pair of interconnect cables for a DAC that are more costly than the previous set, but I didn't wish to spend as much as what I use for the DAC in my main audio system. My positive experience of both the factory-terminated Wireworld Equinox 6 and Equinox 7 interconnect cables, and a DIY Equinox 6 make the bulk-length Wireworld Equinox 6 cable for DIY available from Audiophile Answers on eBay for $6.49 per foot an excellent choice for serious low-cost DIY cable projects. Posts regarding the DIY Wireworld Equinox 6 can be found in the Audio Asylum archives:

The Wireworld Equinox 6 cable offers the typically smooth sonic signature of single crystal OCC copper, a low dielectric constant stored-energy dissipating insulation, and a self-shielding helical solid core ribbon cable geometry. It's a fine example of what a $200 MSRP per 1m pair price point for a factory-terminated product can provide, and with a premium rca connector terminated bulk-length DIY project rather than opt for the factory-terminated stock Wireworld Silver Tube rca connector, I find the Equinox 6 to be the best sounding, low-cost bulk-length cable for DIY that I've come across for as low as approximately $100 per 1m pair, while an upcoming DIY Equinox 6 project priced at $155 per 1m pair will be explored soon (actually a 2m pair for $200 in my case).

My previous DIY Equinox 6 features the excellent KLE Silver Harmony rca connector, while the new DIY project will be terminated with the Xhadow Precision RCA (small version) considered one of the finest rca connectors available. It's the same rca connector my Tel Wire Connect interconnects feature for the DAC in my main audio system. I plan to post a report about the DIY Equinox 6 terminated with Xhadow Precision rca connectors within the next couple of weeks.
Best price found for Xhadow Precision RCA (small version) from a US seller:

Follow Ups:
It's best not to expect a little wiggle room when it comes to a cable OD that will fit a particular connector entry point measurement -- The small version Xhadow Precision RCA is a bit too small to fit the Wireworld Equinox 6 bulk interconnect cable available on eBay. However, the large version Xhadow Precision RCA will fit just fine. BTW, the Wireworld Equinox 6 when terminated with the Xhadow Precision RCA is an excellent sounding combination. The lower-cost level Wireworld Equinox 6 bulk interconnect cable is just as worthy when terminated with the Xhadow Precision RCA as it is with the KLE Silver Harmony RCA.

There are now two better versions of the KLE silver connectors.....either or both may be better than the Xhadow....and not much money.
I terminated a pair of DIY VH Pulsar Cu II OCC copper interconnects with topline 100% silver KLE Pure Harmony rca connectors placed between preamp --> power amp.
I find it's a better sounding connector at a price that deserves more praise vs. the entry-level models. It's worth the extra expense, IME. Otherwise, I still much-enjoy the midline Silver Harmony for a HT application.
No, the top of the line is now the "Absolute Harmony" connectors.....better silver = better sound....a mere $30 more.

@Ric Schultz, have you heard the "Absolute Harmony" connectors... what are your thoughts of them :)

@Duster, how much do you like the KLEI Pure Harmony RCA connectors...
The Pure Harmony is perfect for my particular application. A++
@Duster, I like them and I would rate them A++, also :) I have a pair of KLEI gZero6 ICs with Pure Harmony RCAs and they sound very, very nice but they are more than $200...@Ric Schultz, you have a nice pair of ICs, don't you, for around $200 :)
