Yo Duster et. al. I replaced my Bryant all brass 20A ac plug with the PS5266x. All I can say (well not really ) is WOW. My amp shoots peas no longer. Slightly deeper bass but instrument body is massive compared to the other plug. The whole presence of the music is much more like live music. I can maybe get one "better" plug but would not want to give up the fundamental character of the PS plug. I do not like bright. Wouldn't want to lift the treble. So I'm now using the two budget favs, the Hubble receptical and the PS5266x. Both warm full forward mids with a tamed high end. This is the way I like it. I'm using an inexpensive silver plated female IEC end and don't know how it sounds compared to anything. I need a recommendation for this, budget bang for the buck, middle and somewhat expensive, big deep bass , forward mid, tamed not particularly extend highs. Is this the Schurter 4300.0603?? Thanks, Tweaker

The Schurter 4300.0603 is inexpensive -- you may as well use it with the Pass & Seymour 5266-X, since it's the same inexpensive AC connector combo implemented for the classic Asylum power cord.
Thanks Duster, Happy Holidays. The PS5266x is a big help. I'd possibly like one better plug, still with deep bass. The Schurter is said to have problems in the upper mids. I hate that. Any other thoughts?? Do you think it deserves it's rep for best bang for the buck budget sound?? Tweaker
The Wattgate Economy IEC connector and Marinco IEC connector are considered a step above stock Schurter IEC connector models. YMMV
The Wattgate 320i-CLR IEC connector features a transparent polycarbonate shell rather than the flexible black nylon shell of the Wattgate Economy and Marinco IEC connectors, and only costs a few dollars more. A rigid polycarbonate shell is said to provide beneficial vibration control vs. a flexible nylon shell.
