Organic Audio Power Cord or and of the Argento Audio power cords.
All of them cover the areas you are looking for and sound just like music to boot.
Follow Ups:
passive chappy, what other power cables you have tried? These brands, notably the Argento Audio, are quite popular in my country, but I would like to learn more about Organinc Audio's ability of soundstage formation. (Of course I mean the power cords.)
The brands of power cords I've heard were -
Acoustic Zen
Analysis Plus
Audioquest
Cardas
Crystal Cable
Custom Power Cord Company
Kimber Kable
Kimber Select
Marigo
Naim
Nordost
PS Audio
Purist Audio
Shunyata Research
Siltech
Stage III Concepts
Straight Wire
Transparent
Wireworld
XLO
As you can see I've been around the block with this stuff. But in IMHO all of it was bested by the Organic and Argento cords.
The Organic is copper based. The Argento silver based. To me they both have the same general sound in just disappearing and letting the music dominate. Now there is a difference because of the copper vs silver, but the cables do not sound like copper or silver as one would be used to. When you listen to them details like imaging and soundstage become a living whole. It just sounds like music in natural space. I hope that makes sense.
And now there's a Organic Reference out that sits between the Organic and the Argento. That stuff is jaw dropping.
Definitely check it out if you can.
Thank you! I did not very interested in the listed brands, except for Acoustic Zen (have the Absolute Copper IC) and Stage III, which I already discussed with fantja. Now I'm intrigued by your experience with Stage III and would like to learn more about the new Organic Reference line. Please tell me more about this.
Acoustic Zen is nice stuff. Funny story about the Stage III, I heard it at a dealer show demo and it sounded great. I talked to the distributor about the lower priced cables in the line and he said it was not worth listening to and that the Stage III was the only cable worth spending any time on discussing. I said OK, but was thinking, 'Say what?!!!" How can you trash everything you're selling except your top line product. We're not all made of money. All of the other cable in the line were on silent display. I might of liked the other cables if I could have tried them but never got a chance to hear them because it wasn't worth the distributor's time. I really don't like dealing with people who think that way. It gives me no confidence in them whatsoever.
But I will say that the Stage III sounded really, really, really good. I think (imho) the Organic Audio sounds better to me because it sounds more natural and musical to me. The Organic Reference is just a big step up. It's just more gripping and really hold your attention I say. It would go great with tube gear. And it would work great with a lot of solid state stuff out there. If Argento didn't exist I'd be all over this. It's just that I prefer silver to copper, when it's done right. And Argento just sounds so nice and easy to me. Like the effect a comfy chair has on your back.
I think you should be able to listen to a piece in your system, or any system for that matter, and forget it's there and just dig the music. If you can put anything into your system and just say that the music sounds excellent and not even think about all of the audiophile details people get caught up in then then you've found the answer.
That's interesting. Recently I spoke with the main distributor of Stage III exactly about the low-end models, but it was easy to talk. I had already forgotten about Organic, so thank you for reminding. Maybe you know, when, where, and for what price the Reference line will be available?
Has anyone tried these new Maestro power cables from Cruze First Audio?
I am not familiar w/ this brand?
I already have some of the Maestro ac outlets and just love them! I might try some these Maestro power cables later on too.
Thank You.
Agreed-
Brian @ Aaudio Imports does a pretty good job.
I knew that I was forgetting a pc, Jorma Cables.
Quite a list -passive chappy.
Many Thanks, for your insight and comparison of the Stage III Concepts.
It is a rare thing to find others who have auditioned these pc(s).
In the last 3 years, you are the 3rd person who has actually listened.
I know the cords are expensive and tend to be on heavy rotation at the Audio Events, I am not certain about the amount of actual dealers/retailers, though...
I have read about these cords, but have not found a dealer/retailer yet.
Hey Fantja, pm me and I'll hook you up with some dealer info.
One dealer located in United Kingdom. (highendcable.co.uk)
