A step up for under $10 each from a basic rca connector with a two-piece brass ground and brass center pin like the Canare F-09, Switchcraft 3502, and Neutrik NYS352G is the 1877 Phono ZSP-4 rca connector with two-piece brass ground, OCC copper center pin, and a rather nice looking barrel.

Even if they don't sound any better, they sure look nicer than the others you list! Of course at $15 each, I am sure you would not argue with these.

I think a $60 *minimum* price-point per set of 4 rca connectors is a good entry-level budget for serious DIY rca interconnect projects.
If you are going to put in the effort to make them, you might as well start with good stuff, especially when the price difference is so small.

Also, one of the main benefits of DIY cable projects (and other DIY projects) is spending more on affordable HQ audiophile parts in order to build cables that may rival more costly pre-made products. The idea of spending as little as possible on a DIY cable project tends to be very counter-productive from an audiophile POV.
WOW!! Those look nice.
