I have an interconnect with arrows. I want to use it from pre amp to amp. Should the cables arrows point to amp? Or from amp to pre-amp. Thanks for any info.

Normally arrows toward amp but I have used cables both ways and sometimes they can sound better in the opposite direction.
Yours is an interesting observation. I once had a pair of major brand loudspeaker cables I bought used. The directional arrows were either worn off the jacket or completely illegible. I called the manufacturer for advice and was told there was no difference. I, of course, then asked why the arrows were there. I was told audiophiles expect them to be.

Check w/ the cable manufacturer. Usually, the flow will go from source to the power amp.
What brand is it? In most instances, the arrow should correlate with the flow of the signal from source to amplifier, but there are others such as Analysis Plus that indicate the cables should point toward a central grounding point such as a preamp. You may want to check with the manufacturer for clarification if you're uncertain.
