I bought an original Blue Heaven interconnect and was very pleased with it, especially it's soundstaging attributes. But I then added BH speakers cables and the lack of any tonal richness simply made everything too lean for me.Do you find the new Nordost has any more body to them to go with their existing strengths or that they are just better at what they already did well?
Thanks.

While I always felt that the accusations of brightness levelled against Nordost spoke more about the remainder of the system than the cables, I will concede that they were on the cool side of absolute neutrality.
The new generation of Nordost are the most neutral cables that I've ever heard. They are certainly not warm but neither would I call them lean.
Their accuracy of timbre reminds me of the Quad US Monitors I once owned and that's a great compliment. The dynamic "jump" I'm experiencing with the new Nordost makes me think of horn speakers; the better ones that lack glare. The resolution is excellent but unforced and without etch.
Rather than let my enthusiasm become too embarrassing, I recommend finding a dealer with well broken-in loaners. As for me, I couldn't be more pleased.

I wouldn't say that they were a "bright" sounding cable because they are not and midrange transparency was up there with the best of them. It was the lack of real deep bass with an acute shortage of timbre and body that in my view and humble opinion was not the right league of house sound to pursue. Now if the latest incarnations have addressed this issue then by all means I shall re-visit Nordost cables once more.
