Looking into this entry level PC for my scd-5400es. I read everywhere that this is a 100 dollar cord. Everywhere I go to buy one, it says it's 150. This thing went up 50% since it's release?
I'm also going to be in the market for a cable upgrade for my LS 17 and HD 220. I'm tired of my failed home made cable attempts. I'm looking to just get something decent and worthwhile of an upgrade from the stock power cords. Pangea seems to have mixed reviews, the shunyata seems to have mostly positive ones. But I would rather pay 100 vs. 150. Any insight? Thanks!
Follow Ups:
When I wrote them up in Stereophile IIRC I quoted the list price but also mentioned that there was a package deal that brought down the per-unit cost.
Perhaps a source of confusion?

For a hundred bucks try the Analysis Plus Power Oval power cord with Wattgate connectors and heavy braided shielding. Cannot beat with stick.
Try a Pangea AC-14SE from Audio Advisor. Nothing to lose, given their 30-day moneyback. The AC-14SE is substantially better-sounding than the original AC-14, in my experience.
